Autumn in Ottawa

On Saturday we headed to Ottawa for the day as part of an early Thanksgiving tradition. Of course this meant a trip to IKEA ;) and some wandering around downtown.

I love the Ottawa Byward market. It's always bustling with activity, fresh food and vibrant colours. I love to hear French spoken everywhere and see the signs of all the farmers in their stalls and where they are from. We watched some young girls play their violins on the sidewalk and heard bagpipes being played in the distance. There were lots of apples and pumpkins everywhere and we bought some mutsu apples that were SO good. I had never heard of this kind before but the farmer said they taste like candy. :) They are nice and sweet!
