Mini-golf with Uncle B

Delaney was thrilled to be able to go out for dinner and play mini-golf with Uncle Bryan yesterday. He was patient with her not-so-great technique!

Love these photos of Stephen and Dav from the cottage last weekend. This weekend Stephen was camping with the guys from work and BOY did we miss him!!! I was happy for him though to be off doing something he enjoys.  

Baby officially on the loose

This past week Davin has become a master of movement. He doesn't do the usual crawling action... it's a mixture of army crawl and wiggle worm but he sure moves fast when he sees something he wants. He's especially fond of crawling under the coffee table to get to things faster and this has meant a few bumps on the head. :)

To our surprise she even wanted to go on the roller coaster, and it was FAST! She went twice! She said her favourite rides were the merry-go-round, the ferris wheel and the roller coaster.

We played a few games, won a few stuffed animals, ate cotton candy and funnel cake and stayed until it was dark and the lights from the rides lit up the night.

At the Country Fair

We decided to take Delaney to the Stirling Fair on "loonie night" so that if she didn't like the rides we wouldn't have spent too much on a pass. WELL, little did we know she would LOVE them and wanted to ride everything again and again!

We had read a Dora book about going to a carnival so when she got out of the car she exclaimed "WOW! It's a REAL CARNIVAL!"

So while in Kingston we decided to go to Chuck E. Cheese... we had never been there before and it's quite a place! Delaney loved the little rides and the slide (and Chuck too of course!) and Dav loved watching the kids and the car ride. I think Stephen had a bit of fun too. :) What a great place for kids! We're wondering how we're going to cope in a normal restaurant from now on. I can just hear Delaney saying "where's the games? where's the toys? where's the rides???!"

 

All Aboard!

Delaney's first train ride was to Kingston this morning with Daddy. At first she was scared to get on but then she was happy to see the "cows, hay bales and farms!" It was over pretty quickly (only a 36 minute ride) but she was thrilled.

Delaney is crazy about my brother Bryan. He is a super uncle! Davin is just starting to figure this out too. :)

Fun times

Andrea, Tony and Owen were over last night for dinner and a visit. Andrea and I are addicted scrapbookers... we are on the design team for defining moments scrapbook store and we teach at the same school.
Delaney loves to play with Owen and they had a great time chasing each other around. But she has a lot of learning to do about how to play properly with smaller kids. Look out Dav, I think you're in trouble.

long weekend

We've had a great long weekend with some much-needed relaxing time for Stephen. The cottage weather was just right (not too hot!) and the kids had lots of fun. Delaney is gaining confidence with swimming and loved playing in the sand.
 

Eight months

Dav at 8 months:
*loves to watch his sister play and she loves to entertain him
* eating cereal and fruit and veggies
* favourite activities: eating, bathtime, jolly jumper, being outside, snuggling mommy
* sits up fairly well, rolls over, starting to make crawling motions and move backwards
* has had his hair trimmed by mommy
* favourite toys: balls, drum, likes to gnaw on heads of Delaney's dolls :)
* big contagious grin and smiling eyes
* cute little dimples
* chubby legs
* saying ba ba, ma ma and da da
* likes to blow bubbles and make funny noises
* top teeth coming in
* a complete joy
