Autumn at Vanderwater

I have been going to Vanderwater park in the autumn since I was a kid and I'm always amazed by the beauty of the trees and water. This year the water level is way down so there weren't many waterfalls but we were able to eat our picnic on the rocks out in the middle of the river.

Last year we went too late and many of the leaves had already changed and fallen. This year we were a little early so maybe we'll have to go back next weekend. :)

Okay, I may be biased but I think this kid is pretty cute. I tried a little photo shoot with him today after church and got some good ones. He looks a lot older than 21 months here, don't you think?

On this chilly Saturday I am thinking back to last weekend's warm days. Stephen got out the slip and slide for the kids one last time. The water from the hose was FREEZING so I can't believe they were interested but once they got going they didn't want to stop.
