sNOw fun

More snow here today and Delaney was anxious to get outside and play. Dav can't make up his mind whether or not he likes it - note the big lip in the first picture (has Eva been giving him lessons while I'm not watching, Bruce? :) What a beautiful sunny day.

In her glory

Not much makes Delaney happier than spending time with my brother Bryan and his girlfriend Jen. She has even named two of her dolls after them. We had a family get-together last night and Delaney was thrilled to see them. They all played Delaney's new game and then Jen graciously played and read books to Delaney's delight. Thanks you guys for being so good to her!

my first digital scrapbook page

Can you believe it? My first attempt at digital, using Photoshop. Once I read some of the digi tutorials at 2peas I was able to figure out how to move stuff around, etc. It was actually pretty easy! I think I'm hooked.  Posted by Picasa

SNOW!

How fun to wake up on Boxing Day to big fat snowflakes falling! Dav wasn't sure what to make of it at first and he kept falling face first, tripping over his boots and the snow. Poor kid. Delaney decided she wanted a Rudolph snowman. Too bad he's fallen over already!

very merry

Here are a few of my favourite photos from the last few days. We've had a great time with family and friends. The kids have had a blast with their gifts! I love the matching Christmas jammies from Auntie Kim.

Merry Christmas!

Have a joyful holiday, from our family to yours!

Reindeer games

I saw this idea for cookies in a magazine and thought it was cute. Delaney got "creative" with the idea so not all of them are reindeer. She says the one on the bottom right is actually an elephant. Gee, how festive! :)  Posted by Picasa

gingerbread fun

I think the gingerbread house will be a new Christmas tradition in our family. I found this great kit at Costco that included the house, the candy and two gingerbread men. There was so much candy that they covered the back wall too! I think we all agreed that the icing was the best part. Dav would have agreed too but he fell asleep watching from his high chair. :)

Christmas dinner

Last night we had our home group Christmas get-together. It was at Paulo's but it was very busy so they asked us to sit at Dinkel's. :) Um, okay! It was great to spend some time together without the kids to chat and laugh. We love getting together with this group! Posted by Picasa

evergreen

As a kid we always had a real tree, decorated with coloured lights and handmade ornaments and lots of tinsel. This week we went over to mom and dad's so that Delaney could help set up and decorate their tree. It was fun to see her put on the same decorations that I put on as a kid. Maybe in a couple of years we can change to having a real tree at home, once Davin is a little older and not such a monkey!

Christmas journal scrapbook pages

I thought I'd post a few of these that I've finished this week. All 3 are memories of Christmas past and were really fun to make! I was inspired by the Christmas journal class at writtendown.com and thought I would start one of my own. More pages to come....

This summer, Stephen can sit back and relax

No more cutting the grass for Stephen, Davin is practicing to take over. Isn't it cute? This was our present to him for his first birthday. It actually goes! He presses a button on the steering wheel and off it goes. He doesn't quite have the hang of steering but then Delaney can't quite figure it out either. Note the cheesy grin in the first picture - this kid knows how to pose.

Cheesy grin

So this is the new face I get whenever Dav sees the camera. Before I even turn it on he has his eyes all squinty and his bottom teeth sticking out in a funny grin. Maybe I've been taking too many photos? :) Posted by Picasa

CAKE!

Stephen's mom made this amazing cake with a pond and trees and the little train. And Davin enjoyed it as you can see! :) Posted by Picasa

birthday invitation

For all my scrapbooking blog readers :) here's what I ended up with for Davin's birthday invitation. We had a trains theme so this Basic Grey paper was perfect. The second picture shows what it looks like with the tag out. His picture was on the front and the party info on the back.
