so you think you can dance!?

I was a huge fan of the american version of this show and made sure to watch it every week. I didn't watch the Canadian one so faithfully but I was excited when Andrea suggested getting tickets to see it in Kingston. LOVED it. What a great show. We had a fun day of shopping... a little Home Sense, Starbucks, Costco, Gap... etc. and then a fantastic dinner at Windmills Cafe before the show. Thanks for a wonderful day girls!

family day

Stephen's dad set up a fantastic bonfire outside for all of us to come over and have s'mores. It was such a beautiful day! Family day was a little more special because of Kim being here too! The kids were excited to hang out with their cousins.

happy heart day

We woke up on Valentine's day to some presents and a special breakfast of blueberry heart pancakes and berry smoothies! Yum! Delaney had a super cute outfit to wear to see Auntie Kim and Gramma and Papa.

surprise!

I am a little behind on posting lately, so I'm going back a bit to catch up.

We were SO surprised when Stephen's sister flew in from Alabama and surprised us on Valentine's Day weekend! Delaney was so thrilled to see Auntie Kim. Kim was worried about picking up germs at various airports so she wore a mask but decorated it in true Kim style! :)

She brought these awesome lollipops for the kids. These are what I wanted for the valentine's day photos but never got any so I was happy to get their pictures with these!

five favourite foods on Friday

My poor neglected ol' blog. I thought in honour of Valentine's Day I would share some fun things I'm loving right now. It just so happens that they are all food!

1. We recently discovered this juice, V-Fusion and we LOVE it! It is 100% fruit and vegetable juices but you can't taste the veggies. Our favourite is acai mixed berry. It claims that one cup of juice is equivalent to one serving each of fruits and veggies.

2. President's Choice has a lot of organic food that we have been buying lately. I especially like their baby romaine lettuce and spinach because they're easy to throw in a bowl for salads. I also love their blue menu omega-3 granola, it's really good on yoghurt.

3.Smoothies! Stephen makes great smoothies and we have started making them again recently ... my favourite is blueberry banana but the orange banana is a close second.

4. Okay, enough healthy food :) My favourite winter treat this year has been the salted caramel hot chocolate at Starbucks - yum! I love hot chocolate but this is extra good. Except you don't want to know how many calories are in each cup. Boooooooooo!

5. Last a little valentine's treat. I most certainly did NOT buy a bag of these a week ago and they most certainly were NOT gone a few days later with no sharing. ;)
